Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the sale two weeks ago: 550 lb steers were 12.00 higher, 650 lbs 3.00 lower with light numbers, 800 lbs 2.00 higher, 850 lbs 13.00 higher. Heifers 700 lbs were sharply higher this week, with limited numbers in the last sale. There were loads of heifers in the 450-550 lb range but the last sale had too light a test for comparison. A majority of the sale was load lots and large groups of both light cattle and yearlings. Good demand today, both in the stands and on the internet, especially on the load lots of light calves. The next feeder sale is June 7th.
