Special Calf & Yearling Sale. Compared to the sale two weeks ago; Light steers were limited in numbers. Steers 800 lbs were steady to 2.00 higher, 900 lbs were 4.00-9.00 higher today. Heifers 700 lbs were 6.00 to sharply higher, 800-850 lbs mostly 5.00-6.00 higher. Several load lots of yearlings, along with many smaller strings of calves and yearlings. The crowd was light today, as many producers are out working in the fields. Demand was good, especially on light cattle as supply gets scarce. The next feeder cattle sale is May 16th.
