Western Iowa Preconditioned Sale. Compared to the sale last week: Steers 700-800 lbs were mostly 3.00-5.00 lower. Lighter steers were sharply higher. Steers 850 lbs 1.00 higher. Heifers 600-700 lbs 2.00-6.00 lower. Lighter heifers sharply higher. Heifers 800 lbs 8.00 higher. Many load lots of quality cattle over 750 lbs in the offering today, along with plenty of smaller packages. Good demand, especially on cattle 650 lbs and lighter as supply is getting short. Good flesh condition also brought a premium.
