Compared to the Special Feeder Calf Auction just one week ago, 500 - 600 lb new crop steer calves were 5.00 to 11.00 higher, 600 - 700 lb calves 9.00 to 15.00 higher. Yearling steer cattle showed an upward trend. Heifer trade saw 500 - 600 calves 7.00 to 20.00 higher. No trend stated on yearling heifer cattle. Available today were many packages of home - raised, reputation feeder calves many of which were just off the cow. Demand was very good for today's moderate supply.
