Compared to the feeder calf auction 2 weeks ago, (Feb 13) 500 - 600 lb feeder steer calves were 9.00 to 15.00 higher, 600 - 700 lb calves were 6.00 to 12.00 higher and 800 - 900 lb yearling cattle were as much as 12.00 higher. Heifer trade saw 500 - 600 lb feeder calves 9.00 to 14.00 higher. A noticeable number of heifer calves were retained as replacements today. Quality ran deep again in today's offering of home - raised and LTW'd feeder calves. Demand was very good.
