Compared to the auction 2 weeks ago, 600 - 700 lb steer calves sold steady with a weaker undertone, 800 - 900 lb yearling steers were steady to 3.00 higher. Today's heifer trade saw 600 - 700 lb calves 2.00 - 3.00 higher and 800 - 900 lb heifers steady to 4.00 higher. No comparison stated today on light weight new crop calves due to a small offering 2 weeks ago. However, today's offering saw many packages of quality, home raised, double vaccinated new crop calves, mostly off the cow. Load lots were offered today of quality, green reputation yearling cattle coming off grass. Demand was good for today's moderate offering.
