Compared to last week: Trade activity and demand moderate to good. In the slaughter cows and bulls supply, average dressing Breakers were 3.00 higher on a light test, average dressing Boners were 2.00 lower on a light test, average dressing Leans were 1.00 lower, and average dressing Bulls were 5.00 lower on a light test. The bulk of slaughter cattle offerings were returning to feed. Beef breed heifer returning to feed traded 10.00 higher, Young 6.00 lower, and Middle Aged 4.00 higher. Dairy breed heifers returning to feed traded 2.00 to 12.00 lower. In the bred heifers and cow supply, firmer undertones were noted, but too thinly tested to trend. The next available report will be Thursday, January 21, 2021.
