Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 450 pounds sold 6.00 - 18..00 lower. Feeder steers over 450 pounds sold 3.00 - 7.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 500 pounds sold 2.00 - 4.00 lower, while heifers over 500 pounds sold 2.00 - 5.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 2.00 - 4.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 1.00 - 2.00 lower. With the summer temperatures here the new crop calves are being discounted because of flesh, while yearling type cattle are still in high demand. Quality was average to good with good buyer demand on most classes.
