Compared to last week: Stocker steers under 500 lb sold steady to 5.00 higher, Feeder over 500 lb sold mostly steady. Stocker heifers sold steady to 3.00 higher, Feeder heifers over 500 lb were steady. Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 8.00 lower. Slaughter bulls were 3.00 to 7.00 lower. Supply was heavy due to dry conditions in the area. Demand was good for quality however discounts were noticeable in the fleshy and plain cattle.

How this sale compares

Arkansas weighted averages

One sale is one barn on one day. The state ladder is every Arkansas auction USDA reported that week, weighted by head — the fairer test of whether a lot sold well.
