Feeder cattle futures finished the week lower, setting a softer tone across the market. Demand was lighter compared to last week. Feeder steers and heifers weighing 300-500 lbs traded $15.00-$20.00 lower. Steer calves 500-700 lb sold $10.00 lower, while heifers of the same weight range traded steady to $5.00 lower. Feeder bulls traded $15.00 lower across the board. Slaughter cattle, however, held firmer footing, trading mostly steady for the week. Overall, the market showed softer trends in the feeder categories, while slaughter classes maintained stable pricing.
